Two Kosovo Citizens Detained in Leposaviq

The Kosovo Police have detained two Kosovo citizens in the village of Koshuticë, municipality of Leposaviq, during a routine patrol.

According to the police report, officers stopped a vehicle with Serbian license plates driven by a Kosovo male citizen, while another Kosovo male was traveling as a passenger.

Initial suspicions suggest that the two individuals illegally crossed the border between Serbia and the Republic of Kosovo.

The competent prosecutor has been notified, and regular legal procedures have been initiated against the suspects for the criminal offense of “Unauthorized Border Crossing.”

The incident reportedly occurred on February 22, 2026, at around 18:00. Authorities stated that the case will proceed under standard legal procedures.
