Two citizens of Kosovo, with initials XH.P. (41) and D.M. (64), were injured and taken to the Gostivar Hospital for medical assistance after a small aircraft crashed in North Macedonia.
According to a statement from the Sector for Internal Affairs in Tetovo, the plane went down in Lake Mavrova.
“Today (12.12.2025) at 12:35, the Tetovo SIA – Gostivar Police Department received a report that a small sport aircraft had crashed into Lake Mavrova, near the ‘Belic Canal’ dam.
“According to the report, two Kosovo citizens, XH.P. (41) and D.M. (64), who was piloting the aircraft, managed to get out onto the shore. They sustained injuries and were transported to the Gostivar Medical Center for treatment.”
“Police officers from the Mavrova Police Department immediately arrived at the scene, and during questioning, D.M. stated that due to an engine problem, he was forced to land on the lake,” the Tetovo SIA said.
