The Central Market Surveillance Inspectorate has temporarily closed two oil derivatives points in Zveçan and Leposaviq after finding that they were operating without a license for the retail sale of oil derivatives.

The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MINT) said through a communiqué that “this action was successfully carried out by the Central Market Surveillance Inspectorate, in close cooperation with the Kosovo Police, the Kosovo Customs, the Kosovo Tax Administration and the Kosovo Agency of Privatization.

The verification of the relevant documentation was at the center of this operation, ensuring that every economic operator respects the rules and laws in force”, the communiqué states.

Caution! All entities dealing with the trade of oil products and renewable fuels must be provided with a valid permit from the Ministry of Industry, Enterprise and Trade, for the development of their activity within the territory of the Republic of Kosovo. Against those who operate in violation of the law, strict punitive measures will be taken according to the legislation in force”, MINT warned.

The Ministry said that the Central Market Surveillance Inspectorate “will continue with the checks in the coming days.”

On July 15, the Kosovo Police assisted the Kosovo Privatization Agency for the verification of properties in the north, in which case three points of derivatives were closed, one in North Mitrovica, one in Zubin Potok and one near Lake Ujman.
