The Ministry of Health in Yemen, controlled by Houthi rebels, reported that at least 31 people were killed in U.S. airstrikes on the country, including women and children. The strikes also left at least 101 people injured.
Anes al-Asbahi, a spokesperson for the Ministry, confirmed the casualties and injuries after the attacks overnight.
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he ordered a series of airstrikes on Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen on Saturday. He promised to use “overwhelming lethal force” until the Houthi rebels, supported by Iran, cease their attacks on vessels along a vital maritime corridor.
