Soldiers from the U.S. and German contingents of KFOR’s Eastern Command have conducted military alpine training to maintain their operational skills and readiness.
According to a KFOR statement, the training focused on enhancing confidence and safety while moving down from horses in challenging terrain, allowing troops to preserve the essential capabilities needed to complete their mission effectively.
“Activities like these support KFOR’s overall readiness by maintaining key skills and promoting effective coordination among multinational forces, which is essential for fulfilling KFOR’s mandate to maintain a safe environment for all people living in Kosovo,” the statement read.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate, based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999, to contribute to a secure environment for all communities in Kosovo and ensure freedom of movement at all times, impartially and safely.
