According to the Guardian, a second meeting between representatives of the United States and Russia is scheduled to take place within the next two weeks, according to a report from Russian state news agency RIA, citing Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.

The U.S. and Russia held their first talks earlier this week on Tuesday, with the aim of restoring relations and preparing for the end of the nearly three-year war in Ukraine. The meeting is expected to take place in a third country, though the specific location is still being agreed upon, said Ryabkov in an interview with RIA, without mentioning who would participate from either the Russian or American side.

Ryabkov also mentioned that both sides had reached “principle agreements” to move forward with consultations.

This week, the Kremlin indicated that a face-to-face meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin could occur this month. Both leaders have expressed their desire to meet.
