The American arms manufacturer AM General has released details on its official LinkedIn profile regarding a contract concluded with the Republic of Kosovo.

AM General announced that it has finalized a three-year framework agreement with Kosovo under a Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) arrangement. The contract includes HUMVEE Hawkeye 105mm Mobile Howitzer Systems (MHS), along with various support trucks from the HUMVEE vehicle family, spare parts, and training and maintenance services.

A senior company official who signed the agreement with Kosovo Security Force (KSF) Minister Ejup Maqedonci, John Chadbourne, said the company is proud to have reached this agreement with Kosovo.

“We are proud to announce the successful sale of the HUMVEE Hawkeye to the Ministry of Defense of Kosovo for the needs of the Kosovo Security Force—testament to our commitment to delivering advanced solutions for modern military requirements,” said John Chadbourne, Executive Vice President for Business Development at AM General.

“This system embodies durability, mobility, and advanced technology, ensuring that Kosovo’s armed forces are equipped with the best tools to protect and serve. We look forward to continuing our partnership with defense entities around the world by providing vehicles that enhance operational effectiveness and safety,” he added.

The company also provided technical details about the HUMVEE Hawkeye, noting that it is equipped with “Soft Recoil” technology, which enables smoother recoil after firing and prevents damage to the vehicle.

In addition to the HUMVEE Hawkeye systems, the KSF will also receive ambulances, command-and-control trucks, as well as other logistical support vehicles. Deliveries are expected to begin within the next two years.
