The United States Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, held a press conference where he addressed the latest U.S. military operation targeting Iran.
Hegseth stated that the operation carried out under the direct orders of U.S. President Donald Trump is considered the most lethal, complex, and precise air operation in history. According to him, the mission represents a decisive step in the ongoing confrontation with Tehran.
“We did not start the war, but under President Trump, we are ending it,” Hegseth said, as reported by the BBC.
During his remarks, he also issued a strong warning, stressing that anyone who kills or threatens Americans will be pursued by the United States without apology and without hesitation.
Hegseth further argued that it is logical that regimes such as Iran should not possess nuclear weapons, adding that President Trump has the necessary courage to enforce that position.
