At the Pristina Detention Center, the Director General of the Kosovo Correctional Service (KCS), Ismail Dibrani, hosted a meeting with Kyle Conahan, an official from the U.S. Department of State, Office of Counterterrorism.
During the meeting, Director Dibrani briefed the U.S. official on the developments, achievements, and successes of the Kosovo Correctional Service at both the national and international levels, placing particular emphasis on the role and advancement of the KCS Intelligence Unit.
Director Dibrani also expressed his appreciation for the continuous cooperation and support, stressing that thanks to the backing of international partners—especially the U.S. Department of State—the Kosovo Correctional Service has become a regional leader in terms of inmate treatment and security, as well as a success story and a model to be followed by other countries in the region.
The meeting further addressed issues related to counterterrorism, inter-institutional cooperation, and the strengthening of security mechanisms.
