Pristina, August 3, 2025 — The U.S. Embassy in Kosovo has issued a statement regarding the official visit of U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, David Baker, accompanied by General Chris McKinney.
According to the embassy, the American official met with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, the Minister of Defense, as well as the commanders of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) and KFOR.
During the visit, Baker reaffirmed the strength of the U.S.–Kosovo defense partnership and discussed opportunities to further deepen cooperation in support of peace and regional stability.
As part of his itinerary, Baker also visited Camp Bondsteel, where he met with U.S. military personnel stationed in Kosovo.
The embassy emphasized that the visit underscores Washington’s continued commitment to Kosovo’s security and its role in fostering long-term stability in the Western Balkans.
