U.S.–Kosovo Agreement on Information Sharing: U.S. Embassy Calls It a Major Step Toward Making Both Countries Safer

The U.S. Embassy in Kosovo has commented on the agreement signed between the Commander of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, and the Director of J6 at U.S. European Command, Major General John Phillips, regarding Communication Interoperability and Security.

In a post on the social media platform “X,” the U.S. Embassy described the agreement as a major step forward that will contribute to strengthening the security and capabilities of both countries.

“Today, Major General John Phillips and Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari signed a key defense agreement between the U.S. Department of Defense and the Kosovo Security Force: the Communications Interoperability and Security Memorandum of Agreement (CISMOA). Kosovo becomes the 33rd global partner to sign CISMOA, enhancing secure communication and interoperability. This is a major step forward in making both our nations stronger and safer. Congratulations to the KSF!” the U.S. Embassy’s statement reads.
