Ahead of Independence Day celebrations, U.S. authorities have heightened alert levels due to possible terrorist threats linked to Iranian actors. The warning follows recent U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, reports Rks News.

State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce stated the country is “prepared” for any potential scenario, highlighting the danger of “lone wolves” or cyber operatives inspired by Iran.

Federal agencies such as the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security have issued alerts for public events, with particular emphasis on the elevated threat during the July 4th festivities. Intelligence sources suggest the holiday could serve as a symbolic target for retaliation by Iran-linked groups.

As a result, security has been significantly increased nationwide, especially at parades and fireworks displays.

Citizens have been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior to authorities. Although there are no confirmed threats, officials emphasize the need for heightened caution in light of recent U.S.-Iran tensions.
