U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, made a statement in response to the decision to halt military aid to Ukraine.
He said that the U.S. wants to bring the Russians to the negotiation table.
“President Trump is the only leader in the world right now who even has a chance of bringing a stable and lasting end to the war in Ukraine,” Rubio said, according to BBC, as reported by Sinjali.
“We want to bring the Russians to a negotiation table. We want to explore if peace is possible.”
This is the first public comment from a member of the Trump administration.
