The NATO mission in Kosovo, KFOR, announced that American soldiers assigned to the Regional Command East of the mission carried out a routine patrol today in northern Kosovo along the border line.
KFOR stated that these efforts are part of their daily mission to ensure a safe environment for all communities living in Kosovo.
KFOR reiterated that it continues to implement its mandate, based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999, to contribute to a secure environment for all people and communities in Kosovo and the freedom of movement, “at all times and in an impartial manner.”
KFOR also emphasized its close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
