Trilateral talks on the war between Russia, Ukraine, and the United States, held in Abu Dhabi, have concluded for today and are expected to continue tomorrow.
A White House official confirmed that today’s meeting was constructive.
“Today’s trilateral meeting in Abu Dhabi between the United States, Ukraine, and Russia was productive. Discussions will continue tomorrow,” the official said.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that territorial issues will be part of the discussions in Abu Dhabi.
These issues remain one of the main points of contention, as Russia is demanding that Ukraine relinquish territory it still controls in the eastern Donetsk region, estimated at around 20 percent.
Zelensky has rejected such a demand, stressing that Ukraine will not give up territory it has successfully defended, albeit at a high cost, over the past years.
