The U.S. Embassy in Tirana has issued a public appeal urging Albanian citizens seeking to apply for a U.S. visa to avoid using agencies or so-called “visa agents.”
In an official announcement, the embassy emphasized the importance of personally completing the visa application carefully, warning that mistakes or false information can result in visa denial or even future travel bans.
The embassy stressed that the online visa application process is simple, secure, and entirely free.
“Do not rely on an agency to correctly fill out your application. Mistakes can lead to your application being denied, and providing false information can prevent your future travel. Protect yourself and your personal data while saving money — avoid visa agents and apply online yourself for a U.S. visa,” the statement reads.
The embassy reminded applicants that it is the only official and reliable source of information regarding U.S. visas in Albania, and that all official services are free of charge.
