The Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates said its air forces are actively engaging threats from missiles and UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles).
The sounds heard across the country are the result of “ongoing engagement operations,” the ministry stated.
Authorities have called on the public to “remain calm” and follow official safety instructions, according to reports by BBC.
