The United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves, announced he met with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani on Tuesday.
Concerns Over Prolonged Political Deadlock
In a Facebook post, Ambassador Hargreaves emphasized that during their discussion, both parties agreed that the ongoing political deadlock will have serious consequences for Kosovo and its people.
“I congratulated President Osmani on her efforts to emerge from the crisis in line with the Constitution of Kosovo and reminded her of the responsibility of all political parties to put the state before party interests and find solutions,” Ambassador Hargreaves wrote. His remarks underscore the international community’s growing concern over the prolonged inability of the Kosovo Assembly to constitute itself.
