The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, will hold an urgent government cabinet meeting on Tuesday to discuss a peace plan and aid efforts for Gaza.

During a meeting in Scotland on Monday, the British Prime Minister presented U.S. President Donald Trump with a European-led peace plan for Gaza, according to BBC reports.

The UK government has not released details of the plan but stated that the “next steps” will be determined after the cabinet meeting, which will take place on Tuesday at 2:00 PM local time.

A spokesperson for Prime Minister Starmer said the proposals will also be shared with allies, including Arab states, in the coming days.

In an article published over the weekend, Starmer compared the new plan to the “coalition of the willing” concept, similar to one proposed to support any potential deal to end the war in Ukraine.

The UK’s move comes after the United States and Israel withdrew their negotiating teams from Qatar last Thursday. The American president said Hamas “did not truly want to make a deal,” while Israel announced it would consider “alternative options” for the release of hostages.
