UK Defence Minister visits Kosovo, Hargreaves shares details

The Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves, has shared details of an important official visit, highlighting the UK’s continued commitment to regional security.

He announced that the UK’s Minister for Defence, Vernon Coaker, has arrived in Kosovo and held meetings with senior international security officials.

During the evening, Lord Coaker met with the Commander of KFOR, Major General Özkan Ulutaş, as well as Brigadier General Schulte-Borghoff.

Discussions focused on the current security situation in Kosovo and the wider region, with particular emphasis on KFOR’s role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for all citizens.

The United Kingdom reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the NATO-led mission and contributing to long-term peace and stability in the region.

The visit of Lord Coaker is seen as a clear signal of continued British support for Kosovo’s security and close cooperation with international allies.
