British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced that RAF fighter jets and military assets are being deployed to the Middle East. This deployment comes after Iran warned the UK, USA, and France that their bases in the region would be targeted if they assist Israel in halting Tehran’s attacks.
Speaking to journalists en route to the G7 summit in Canada, the Prime Minister refused to rule out the possibility of providing military support to Israel, similar to actions taken last October during a ballistic missile attack from Tehran, Sky News reports.
The United Kingdom has not intervened in any military action since Israel’s attacks began on Friday. However, the British Prime Minister declined to answer whether the UK would become involved as it did last year.
“I won’t go into that,” Starmer stated.
