The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Monday that Russia’s losses in the war against Ukraine have reached nearly 1 million troops since the full-scale invasion began on February 24, 2022, according to Rks News.

The report states that in just the past 24 hours, Russia suffered 1,000 new casualties, as it prepares for a new summer offensive. The figures include those killed, wounded, missing, and captured, though Kyiv does not break down the categories individually.

Since the start of the war, Ukraine has provided daily updates on Russian troop and equipment losses. However, neither Moscow nor Kyiv publishes official figures for their own military losses.

In February, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that over 46,000 Ukrainian soldiers had been killed, around 380,000 wounded, and tens of thousands either missing or held captive by Russia.
