A Ukrainian drone attack has forced Russian authorities to temporarily close two of Moscow’s main airports early Sunday morning, Russian media reported.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin stated via Telegram that Russian air defense units had destroyed nine Ukrainian drones approaching the capital.

“Emergency services have been dispatched to the areas where drone debris fell after air defense intervention,” Sobyanin said, adding that there are currently no reported casualties.

This is one of many drone attacks that have targeted Moscow since the beginning of the war in Ukraine.
