Drone attacks targeting Russia’s Krasnodar Krai region caused fires at two oil depots early today, also damaging a communication tower.
Throughout the night, numerous drone attacks were reported in the communities of Eisk, Leningrad, and Pavlov in Krasnodar Krai.
As a result of the attack on an oil depot, debris from a downed drone caused a fire at a fuel reservoir in Pavlov village, and another fire at an oil depot in Leningrad community, a state-controlled point, reported RIA Novosti.
A cellular tower was also damaged in Eisk village from another downed drone. No casualties have been reported.
Kyiv Independent could not independently verify the claims, and Ukraine’s military has yet to comment on the alleged attacks.
In recent months, Ukrainian forces have launched a series of drone attacks aiming to disrupt Russia’s oil industry, which “feeds” Moscow’s military.
Russia’s Ministry of Defense claimed on July 6 to have shot down eight drones overnight over the Kursk and Belgorod regions. The Ministry’s claims did not mention drones shot down over Krasnodar Krai.
