Ukrainian intelligence has uncovered a spy among its high-ranking officials, with the head of the service personally overseeing the arrest.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported that a “Russian asset” from the FSB had been exposed within the ranks of the Security Service.

It was the head of the Anti-Terrorist Center of the SBU who personally arrested the spy.

“The traitor was arrested this morning personally by Vasyl Maliuk, Head of the Security Service of Ukraine,” the Ukrainians reported.

The Security Service did not mention the name of the traitor, but according to sources from Ukrainska Pravda within the Security Service, the spy is identified as Colonel Dmytro Koziura.

Maliuk stated that the Security Service had documented 14 instances of illegal activities by the “asset.”

“The head of the Security Service was personally a member of the operational and investigative group assessing the traitor and led the operation to arrest him. Vasyl Maliuk reported directly on all phases of the special operation to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and President Volodymyr Zelensky,” the report added.
