The head of Ukrainian diplomacy at the Dubrovnik Forum emphasized that “there is no alternative for a just peace”.
“The goal is not only to stop war, but also to create the circumstances in which peace will be just and lasting, and a new war will become an unsustainable option.” , that is, “to create an environment in which new aggression is impossible”, he declared.
Kuleba emphasized that this is necessary “because everyone must see what will happen to them if they start aggression against a sovereign state”.
He expressed optimism for the last peace meeting in Switzerland, which was attended by more than a hundred representatives of various countries and organizations.
“When we see so many countries ready to act together, it gives us confidence that a just and lasting peace is possible,” he told the panel of leaders. “Every next step will be more difficult than the previous one, but there is no alternative”, he concluded.
