Ukrainian forces claim to have destroyed a Russian Su-34 fighter jet in the Kursk region of Russia.
This was reported by the Ukrainian General Staff in a statement issued to the media.
“A Russian Su-34 bomber was destroyed by our personnel with an anti-aircraft missile in the Kursk region,” the statement said.
Powerful explosions were heard last night in the Novgorod region, where the Russian airbase Savasleyka is located.
This airbase is known as the “home” of MiG-31K aircraft that carry supersonic Kinzhal missiles.
On the other hand, journalists from Radio Liberty report that NASA has released images showing a fire near the airbase in Nizhny Novgorod following a night of kamikaze drone attacks.
