The NATO-led KFOR mission commander, Major General Ozkan Ulutash, met with the Chief of Defense of the Hungarian Defense Forces, General Gábor Böröndi, at KFOR headquarters to discuss recent developments in Kosovo.
In a Facebook post, it was noted that the KFOR commander highlighted KFOR’s activities and expressed his appreciation for Hungary’s valuable contributions to KFOR’s efforts and regional stability.
“KFOR continues to fulfill its mandate—based on the 1999 UN Security Council Resolution—to contribute to a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all people living in Kosovo, at all times. KFOR acts as the third security responder, in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the EU Rule of Law Mission (EULEX), who serve as the first and second security responders,” the statement said.
