UN Secretary-General António Guterres will not be able to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos due to a severe cold, a spokesperson announced today in Geneva.
“Unfortunately, the Secretary-General has to cancel his participation in the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, which was scheduled for tomorrow, because he has been affected by a severe cold,” said Rolando Gomez during a press conference in Geneva.
“Following a visit to London on Saturday, Mr. Guterres traveled to Switzerland to meet with his representatives and special envoys who will be attending the annual summit,” he added.
“This meeting has now concluded, and he is on his way back to New York,” Gomez clarified.
