The Kosovo Police have detained a Serbian citizen in the village of Joshanicë, in the municipality of Leposaviq, after he illegally crossed from Serbia into Kosovo.
The incident occurred around 16:30, when police units stopped a red VW Sharan with Serbian license plates (NP), driven by M.B., born in 1980.
During the inspection, the police seized €13,992 and 17,880 Serbian dinars, as well as furniture materials valued at approximately €600. Authorities suspect that the money and goods were brought into Kosovo without customs declaration.
Under the order of the State Prosecutor, a criminal case has been initiated against the suspect for “Unauthorized Crossing of a Border or Borderline.” The vehicle, cash, and goods have been sent to the Customs Terminal in Mitrovicë for further legal processing by the Kosovo Police and Customs authorities.
