Unidentified drones were observed over Denmark’s largest military base, authorities confirmed after several drone flyovers above the airfield this week.
The Danish police reported that the incident occurred on Friday around 20:15 and lasted several hours. “One or two drones were spotted in front of and above the airbase in Karup,” police told AFP.
Authorities clarified that the drones were not shot down and the origin of the unmanned aircraft remains unknown.
This incident raises concerns over airspace security and the monitoring of military installations in Denmark.
