Today, the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police, arrested a person with the initials L.M., suspected of involvement in the attack against KFOR members and Kosovo Police on May 29, 2023, in Zvečan.
According to the police statement, during the search of the suspect’s home, the following items were seized:
- one mobile phone,
- two USB devices,
- several military uniforms,
- and a shirt with a nationalist inscription, allegedly worn by the suspect on the day of the incident.
The suspect was interviewed in the presence of a lawyer and translator and was detained for 48 hours by the order of the prosecutor.
The prosecution has initiated investigations into several criminal offenses, specifically:
- “Association for unconstitutional activity with the aim of attacking the constitutional order of the Republic of Kosovo,”
- “Endangering persons under international protection,”
- “Assault on an official person,” and
- “Participation in a crowd committing criminal offenses and hooliganism.”
