Post of Kosovo, through its Philately department, has released a new series of postage stamps titled “Settlements – Janjeva”, celebrating the history and charm of one of Kosovo’s oldest and most unique settlements.
The two unique stamps act as a bridge between the past and the present, bringing Janjeva to the hands of every collector and admirer of culture.
According to the Post of Kosovo, the stamps depict the details that make Janjeva special: its narrow streets that echo a bygone era, century-old monuments that carry the history of a vibrant community, and the essence of traditions that still thrive in every corner of this ancient town.
“Janjeva is a small town in Kosovo’s highlands, within the municipality of Lipjan. It lies in a valley at the foot of the Zhegoc Mountains, about 12 kilometers southeast of Prishtina. Janjeva is no longer just a destination – it becomes an experience. Now, it can travel with you, carrying memories, messages, and a love for culture to every corner of the world,” reads the announcement.
