The Head of the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), Caroline Ziadeh, has held several important meetings in Brussels with high-level European Union representatives. These meetings are part of ongoing efforts to support stability and dialogue in the Western Balkans.
Discussions with EU Officials
Among the officials Ziadeh met were the EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, Peter Sorensen; the European Parliament’s standing rapporteur for Serbia in the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Tonino Picula; and the rapporteur for Kosovo, Riho Terras.
During these discussions, they focused on the latest political and security developments in the Western Balkans, with particular emphasis on the dialogue process between Kosovo and Serbia.
“She discussed recent developments and reaffirmed UNMIK’s support for the EU-facilitated dialogue,” stated UNMIK’s official announcement.
