The candidate for Mayor of Prishtina, Uran Ismaili, today presented his solutions for the Bregu i Diellit neighborhood, the place where he grew up and completed his schooling.
As a resident of this area and candidate for the capital’s leadership, Ismaili told the large crowd that after October 12, Bregu i Diellit will regain life, vibrancy, and concrete projects.
According to Ismaili, on October 12, the citizens of Prishtina will choose between two models: the first, which he represents, offering concrete solutions for a functional Prishtina and for every neighborhood; and the second, represented by the current mayor, which he described as deception, failure, and pretense of working only during the campaign.
Addressing the citizens, Ismaili said his plan for Bregu i Diellit includes a wide range of interventions for a more functional and quality life: renovation of neighborhood plazas, cycling lanes and improved pedestrian connections, sidewalks free from cars and obstacles, and functional bus stops with digital timetables.
He also proposed cultural activities and community programs in the former shelters, revitalization of the “Dielli” kindergarten, construction of an annex for “Ismail Qemali” school with labs, new playgrounds for children, façade renovation and building maintenance, expansion of district heating, better street and public lighting, maintenance of greenery and sports fields, as well as improved waste management and treatment of stray dogs.
Key projects for Bregu i Diellit include:
- Regulating district heating at the White Buildings;
- Revitalizing the Shopping Center;
- Underground parking to free public spaces;
- A multifunctional center with a vertical sports hall;
- Renovation of old buildings.
Since the beginning of his campaign, Ismaili has presented five main solutions for Prishtina: opening George Bush Square, unblocking traffic within 18 months, safe streets 24/7, clean neighborhoods, green spaces, and more community opportunities. Recently, he also presented plans for Kodra e Trimave, Dardania, and Hajvalia neighborhoods.
