Following the suspension of urban transport in Prishtina, LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku commented on the situation, stating that “Prishtina has been blocked, but LDK kept the blockers at a distance.”

In a post on his Facebook profile, Abdixhiku said:

“The message from Prishtina was not received clearly. They will get it again on December 28. Because Prishtina is neither a prize to be coveted nor a tool for primitive battles of Don Quixote with his Sancho Panzas.”

He added:

“You can block. You can obstruct. Because that’s all you know and all you can do. But propaganda cannot defeat the truth. For 12 months, as if under occupation, you kept the capital without a budget. We had to spend energy and time to maintain Prishtina, plundered by a populist sect whose mission is the destruction of the country. While distributing perks for votes, without law or legitimacy, you left Prishtina, the Capital of our country, in the deep swamp of bureaucracy for a full year.”

Abdixhiku concluded by emphasizing that their time is running out:

“Let us all unite. Prishtina will speak again; and it will speak first.”
