American and Ukrainian negotiators have drafted an “updated and refined peace framework” and plan to continue intensive work on the plan in the coming days.

A joint statement described the Geneva talks, supported by the United States, as “highly productive”, according to BBC.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio noted “extraordinary progress” in refining a plan that has been carefully received by Russia, but criticized by leaders in Kyiv and Europe, who consider it too favorable to the Kremlin.

Rubio added that “there is still work to be done”, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said there were signs that President Trump’s team is listening.
