Pristina, Kosovo – June 12, 2025 – On the 26th anniversary of NATO forces entering Kosovo, the United States Embassy has released a commemorative message, underscoring the historic significance of this date for the people of Kosovo and the shared commitment to peace and stability.
Through this message, the U.S. Embassy reiterated America’s continued support for Kosovo and its efforts to strengthen democratic institutions, enhance security, and foster economic development.
“Today marks 26 years since NATO forces entered Kosovo, bringing hope, security, and a path towards peace,” stated the U.S. Embassy in Kosovo’s post. “The date June 12, 1999, was a turning point, a moment that enabled displaced families to return and communities to begin rebuilding. On this anniversary, we honor the resilience of the people of Kosovo and our shared commitment to building a future based on peace, security, and prosperity.”
