The U.S. Embassy in Tirana has issued an important warning for individuals applying for a visa to enter the United States.
In an official statement published on its website, the embassy emphasized that anyone who lies to obtain a U.S. visa or overstays their permitted duration will face severe penalties.
“All visa applicants must demonstrate that they qualify for a visa to enter the United States. This includes the intent to comply with our laws,” the statement reads.
The embassy warns that providing false information, working illegally, or staying in the U.S. beyond the expiration of a visa or the Visa Waiver Program could lead to serious consequences.
“These include imprisonment, deportation, and a permanent ban on obtaining a U.S. visa in the future,” the U.S. Embassy stated.
