The United States European Command has confirmed the seizure of the oil tanker M/V Bella 1, flying a Russian flag and linked to Venezuela, according to The Guardian.
In a post on social media platform X, the command stated that the U.S. Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, and Defense coordinated the action, citing violations of U.S. sanctions.
The tanker was seized in the North Atlantic under a federal court order, following tracking operations by the USCGC Munro.
