U.S. soldiers from the Liaison Monitoring Team (LMT) assigned to KFOR’s Regional Command-East have completed a week-long combat lifesaving course at Camp Bondsteel.
The final exercise tested soldiers’ ability to perform life-saving measures during a simulation. KFOR stated that the training simulates realistic scenarios, challenging soldiers to apply various skills to provide proper care for the injured. While designed for combat, these skills can also be used in emergency response situations encountered in Kosovo’s communities.
KFOR reaffirmed its commitment to fulfilling its mandate under UN Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999) to ensure a safe environment and freedom of movement for all communities in Kosovo.
The mission continues to coordinate closely with the Kosovo Police and EULEX in their respective security roles.
