US President Donald Trump announced that the United States struck another small vessel in waters near Venezuela.
According to Trump, the ship was being used for drug trafficking. He noted that six people on board were killed, and no US service members were injured.
This marks the fifth lethal strike in the Caribbean, with the Trump administration emphasizing that suspected drug traffickers are being treated as illegal combatants who must be confronted with military force.
Trump highlighted that Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth ordered the strike this morning. He also shared a video of the attack, as he has done previously, claiming that the strike took place in international waters. Intelligence confirmed that the vessel was involved in drug trafficking, linked to “narco-terror networks”, and was moving along a known drug trafficking route.
