U.S. military forces have taken several precautionary measures to protect their assets and equipment in the Middle East as the conflict between Israel and Iran continues.

These measures include the evacuation of all undefended aircraft from the large U.S. military base in Qatar and the repositioning of U.S. Navy ships stationed in Bahrain. This information comes from two defense officials who spoke to CNN.

Satellite Imagery and Strategic Moves

A satellite image dated June 19 shows nearly empty runways at the U.S. military’s Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, following the relocation of vulnerable aircraft to other locations. This move occurs amidst threats that Iran would attack U.S. bases in the region if the United States decides to join Israel in striking Iranian nuclear facilities.

U.S. Central Command has also deployed additional blood supplies to the region, according to officials and an informed source. This is a standard procedure whenever there is a potential for an attack on American forces.
