Senior US Pentagon officials have arrived in Ukraine to discuss efforts to bring an end to the ongoing conflict with Russia, the US military confirmed.

The delegation is led by US Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll and is scheduled to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today.

According to reports, the United States and Russia have reportedly prepared a new peace plan that could involve significant concessions from Ukraine. However, neither Washington nor Moscow has officially confirmed the plan.

“Secretary Driscoll and his team arrived in Kyiv this morning on behalf of the administration on a fact-finding mission to meet with Ukrainian officials and discuss efforts to end the war,” said US Army spokesperson Colonel David Butler.

The delegation includes Army Chief of Staff General Randy George, US European Command leader General Chris Donahue, and Army Major General Michael Weimer.

Driscoll and General George are the highest-ranking US military officials to engage in talks in Kyiv since President Donald Trump assumed office in January.

The visit underscores Washington’s continued engagement in seeking a resolution to the conflict, amid ongoing concerns over Ukraine’s territorial integrity and security in the face of Russian aggression.
