Russia and the U.S. will continue consultations on normalizing diplomatic relations in Istanbul, according to Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The second round of talks is scheduled in the coming days, with Russian Ambassador to Washington, Alexander Darchiev, leading the Russian delegation. The U.S. will be represented by Sonata Kutler, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Russia and Central Europe. The previous round of consultations in February was described by Russia as “substantive and professional.”
