The U.S. Department of State has issued an urgent call for American citizens to leave Iran immediately.

“Make a plan to depart Iran that does not rely on U.S. government assistance. If you cannot depart, find a safe place in your residence or a secure building. Time is running out,” read the message from the State Department to American citizens, as reported by foreign media.

These statements come amidst the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel, which are currently engaging in mutual attacks with missiles, drones, and aircraft.

Trump Considers Direct US Intervention

Furthermore, President Donald Trump has left open the possibility of direct U.S. intervention in the conflict with Iran, A2 CNN reported. Earlier today, the White House announced that Trump would give Iran two weeks before deciding whether or not the U.S. will directly intervene in the conflict.
