US–Ukraine Talks: Zelensky Calls Rutte and von der Leyen, Says “Much Can Change”

As talks between the United States and Ukraine take place in Florida, President Volodymyr Zelensky held separate phone calls with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

Zelensky emphasized that the coming days will be crucial and expressed gratitude to NATO and the EU for their unwavering support of Ukraine’s resistance against Russian attacks.

In his conversation with Secretary Rutte, Zelensky noted that “much can change in the coming days” and stressed that close cooperation with the Alliance would prove highly effective.

He also spoke with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, thanking her for her continued support. On social media, Zelensky highlighted that “Ursula pays special attention to strengthening our resilience against the ongoing Russian attacks on our infrastructure and energy system.”
