The United States of America has begun evacuating non-essential diplomats and their families from the U.S. Embassy in Israel as regional tensions continue to escalate.
The move was confirmed by two U.S. officials who told American media that some diplomats and family members had left the country aboard a government aircraft after requesting evacuation due to security concerns.
The evacuation came shortly before U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckbee, made a public statement on platform X (formerly Twitter).
In his announcement, Ambassador Huckbee stated that the U.S. Embassy is preparing flights and ships to assist in the evacuation of American citizens, as the aerial conflict between Israel and Iran intensifies.
