JD Vance has shared details from the latest peace negotiations with Iran, revealing that Iranian officials presented a 10-point proposal.
“The first proposal was so unusual that we thought it might have been written by ChatGPT,” Vance said, adding that it was immediately discarded.
The second, more reasonable proposal emerged from direct discussions between American and Pakistani officials, and it is this document that the U.S. President was using until yesterday.
According to Vance, a third, more extreme proposal has also circulated on social media, complicating the negotiation process.
These developments illustrate that the process is moving between moderate ideas and more radical proposals, as the United States seeks to achieve a sustainable agreement.
JD Vance is set to represent the United States in the next round of negotiations, scheduled to begin on Saturday in Pakistan.
