Vasfije Krasniqi-Goodman, a survivor of sexual violence during the last war in Kosovo, spoke tonight on the show Hambari about how others who experienced the same ordeal are continuing to follow in her footsteps.
Krasniqi-Goodman has now become a safe point of reference for other survivors. She also mentioned Ramadan Nishori, another survivor of sexual violence, who chose to share his story publicly.

“It’s very true. I didn’t persuade him to come forward — I talked to him. He decided on his own to speak publicly, but I was the first person he told what had happened. I begged him to go and seek help from Feride Rushiti, and there he continued, waited for the right moment, and decided to speak out.
